Tofu Coney Island!!!
My favorite ramen house in NYC. Solid vegan ramen choice and a few vegan small plates. All delicious.
Try getting the tofu noodles instead of the regular ramen noodle.
The vegetarian ramen is super flavorful. I'm also a fan of their warm japanese sweet potatos and bizarre Tofu Coney island appetizer. Oh and make sure you make a reservation!
So many vegan options!!
The new one in Greenpoint is lovely
The new greenpoint location is adorable. Also has WAY more flavors of vegan ice cream than before!
Get the vegan salted caramel ice cream with a vegan chocolate chip cookie from ovenly. its amazing. Also has normal ice cream for your non-vegan friends.
This place has a really great selection of vegan ice cream made from coconut milk. I like the mint chocolate chip paired with a Vegan ovenly chocolate chunk cookie. The also sell their ice cream at most natural grocery stores in NYC
They post the vegan options on their FAQ - http://www.xianfoods.com/faqs.pdf "What are your vegetarian/vegan options? A1, A2, A4, N5, Ns5, N8, L1, L2, and F1 are completely vegetarian and vegan. F6, F7 dumpling dishes are vegetarian but may contain egg whites to hold together the filling. Also, if anything resembles meat in any of the dishes, it is just the seitan (wheat gluten), so please don’t be alarmed."
Cheap, spicy noodle dishes with lots of flavor. Several vegan options.
The Charred Beet & Lentil Salatim is incredible.
Really decent vegan-friendly Mediterranean & Middle Eastern spot. Nice atmosphere, sidewalk seating, and V/GF labels are included on the menu. Some items without a V are in fact vegan. Just ask—the servers are very friendly & accommodating.
Oh god, all of it is so good. The Nutty Buddy (is that what it's called?) They also have gluten free soy sauce, just ask.
Love the "Spicy Mang"
They deliver now! Love the spicy mushroom roll.
Awesome all-vegan sushi place! It's tiny inside, but great for lunch or take-out. I love the mighty mushroom roll and the spicy mang.
Tiny, all-vegan sushi shop. Great for lunch.
Cutest VF restaurant.
One of the few places with multiple options for a vegan brunch that isn't full of imitation meat / dairy ingredients. Super cute place, too.
Pro tip: Get their roasted nuts as a starter and sprinkle them on the papaya salad as a starter. SO good.
They can make many of their dishes vegan if you ask. They're super nice about it too. Love the tempeh rice dish.
Amazing Balinese food in Greenpoint. Lots of vegan options. I love their small dishes and salads too. My favorite dish is the pumpkin coconut curry.
Love this place!!
Def get the vegan yuba dip soba. Also a whole slew of great vegan appetizers to choose from. Love the homemade silky tofu.
I always get the hot vegan yuba dipping soba. Its super fun to eat and really tasty. The restaurant is super small and doesn't take reservations, so don't go there with a large party.
Incredible soba. They have a bunch of vegan-labeled menu items. Lots to choose from.
This place is THE BEST. Get the mezze feast for brunch. So many tiny vegan treats ^_^
Awesome for a fancy vegan date. So many good vegan options...also a great atmosphere! Get a reservation for dinner on the weekends.
A really amazing mediterranean restaurant with tons of vegan option. I went for brunch and got their "mezze feast" which includes a bunch of small plates and one main course. It splits easily between 2 people. Nearly all of the small plates are vegan (one plate is yogurt and one is feta cheese, though you can ask for it without)... vegatables, pickeled beets, fresh hummus, herb tahini and flatbread. For the main dish, we got the pollen syrup with stone fruit without ricotta. It was incredible, like a mediterranean french toast. Definitely recommend for a great vegan brunch. :)
The earl grey vegan cookies are amazing.
I LOVE the mushroom crepe. Its also great to go for tea time. You can pick from a bunch of different kinds of teas to pair with a savory crepe and an assortment of cookies, crumpets and the like. ALL vegan + GF!
This crepery place is pretty new, and AMAZING! A must-try if you're in Williamsburg.
I always get the vegan shmoogla, and I add pickled grapes and red onions. My favorite pizza in NY. Go on a weekday, and go early to avoid the wait!
Love the vegan pizza!
The ricotta da vegan is the absolute best. They make their own cashew ricotta and fennel sausage and it tastes incredible. If you eat honey, get Mike's hot honey drizzled on top!
This is hands down the best place for vegan pizza in the city. Probably even the world. Go on a weekday to avoid long lines.
